Carole B. Cartwright is an experienced broadcast professional. She has produced over 4,000 hours of television and earned Los Angeles and Chicago EMMY Awards, the NAACP Image Award, as well as the prestigious Peabody Award.

A successful hands-on television production career in Chicago and Los Angeles includes serving as Executive Producer of a film series for WTTW Public Television, Manager of Community Programs and “on air” host for WMAQ-TV (NBC, Chicago), and Director of Programming and Program Operations for KNBC-TV (NBC, Los Angeles), where she developed information and entertainment programming for local air and syndication.

Prior to joining UMI, Carole served as General Manager for WYCC-TV/Channel 20, Chicago, the PBS station licensed to the City Colleges of Chicago; and she worked independently in her own media production firm, Cartwright & Company Media Services.

Carole is currently an elected member of the Board of Governors of the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She is President of the Academy’s Education Foundation and serves on a number of nonprofit community boards. Carole holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from De Paul University.
